Who We Are

Leominster Women in Business was founded with one idea in mind: to capitalise on local knowledge and local people. The group has been running since 2003, and since then we have successfully built up a strong networking database which includes women from myriad industries and backgrounds.

In founding Leominster Women in Business we wanted to offer women in the area something different from your run-of the mill networking events, and to get away from the stuffiness of board-room breakfast meetings. And that is exactly what we have managed to do.

The group is open to working women in all capacities, whether you are a one woman band, a large business owner, or you simply work for a local company and would enjoy the chance to meet like-minded people.

What we do

Each month, Leominster Women in Business hosts a business lunch at different venues within the Herefordshire/Shropshire area. In addition to these monthly meetings, we also arrange recreational events throughout the year, including theatre trips and visits to the Houses of Parliament.

Unlike other networking groups, Leominster Women in Business is not all about handing out business cards and hard selling; it is about building mutually beneficial relationships with key members of local businesses.

And if you are looking for an opportunity to show off your skills, products or services, we offer full members the chance to volunteer themselves, and in some cases their businesses, to act as hostess/venue for one of our monthly business lunches.

As a local group, we champion local charities, and Leominster Women in Business has managed to raise over £20k for charity since its conception, organising a wide array of events each year, from casino nights to promises’ auctions.

With a number of women in our fold who have only just started out in their careers, we think it is incredibly important to support, advise and encourage young women in business.
